Simple guide to prepare, configure and use the ProfeJuegos Word Search in class.

What it allows you to do

The Word Search turns vocabulary, concepts and definitions into a visual activity for finding words in class.

Teachers can enter words manually, use automatic categories, practice languages, play individually or with students, enable hints, scoring, printing and different classroom participation modes.

1. Choose the source Manual, automatic or languages.
2. Choose participation Individual or with students.
3. Adjust the rules Grid size, directions, time and turns.
4. Play or print Use online in class or print a paper version.

How to prepare a word search.

Open the game

Go to the Word Search page using the “Open the Game” button.

Choose the source

Select manual, automatic or languages depending on how you want to load the content.

Choose how participants will play

Select individual play or students mode to enable turns and classroom activities.

Configure the grid

Adjust the size, directions and, if needed, the time per turn.

Review the list

Check the words or definitions before starting the activity.

Start the game

Click “Start Word Search” and begin the activity with your class.

Three ways to prepare the word search.

Option Purpose How it is used
Manual Create a custom word search for a specific lesson or topic. Enter one word per line. If you want to play with definitions, also prepare the content as word and clue within the system’s shared dataset.
Automatic Use categories and subcategories already included in the plugin JSON files. Select category, subcategory, quantity and order. Then click Load Automatic Words.
Languages Practice vocabulary between the native language and the target language. Select native language, target language, category and subcategory. Then click Load Language Words.

Participation

Play individually or with students.

Individual For personal review, projector practice or a quick activity. Grid, word list and hint and print buttons.
