Educational Quiz Manual

A simple guide to prepare, configure, and use the ProfeJuegos Quiz in class.

What it allows you to do

The Quiz turns classroom questions into a visual, fast, and participatory activity.

The teacher can write questions manually, load automatic categories from JSON, or practice languages. The game works in classic or race mode, can be used solo or with students, and allows you to change the visual style of the board.

2. Choose source Manual, automatic, or languages.
3. Choose participation Solo or with students.
4. Adjust rules and visuals Time, options, points, race steps, and design.

How to prepare a quiz.

Open the game

Go to the Quiz page from the “Open the game” button.

Choose the mode

Select Classic Quiz or Race, depending on the type of activity you want to use.

Choose how to load questions

Use manual, automatic, or languages to prepare the content.

Choose how students will participate

Select play solo or with students to activate turns and scoring.

Review rules and visuals

Adjust time, number of options, points, race steps, and design.

Start the game

Click “Start quiz” and begin the activity with the class.

Q

Classic

Each question is answered like a normal multiple-choice quiz. It is ideal for quick review, vocabulary, definitions, dates, or content from any subject.

R

Race

If played with students, each correct answer moves a car forward. The teacher can decide how many steps each participant needs to reach the finish line.

Three ways to prepare the content.

Option What it is used for How to use it
Manual Create your own questions for a specific class or activity. Write each line with the question, correct answer, and options. The most useful format is question | correct answer | option 2 | option 3 | option 4.
Automatic Use categories and subcategories already prepared in the JSON files. Choose category, subcategory, quantity, and order. Then click Load automatic questions. In this mode, the title is generated automatically.
Languages Practice translations and vocabulary between two languages. Choose native language, practice language, category, subcategory, quantity, and order. Then click Load language quiz.

Manual format

How to write questions and answers.

The Quiz accepts manual questions in a single text box. Each line can include the correct answer and other options.

With four options

Practical tip

If you write only question | answer,
the system will try to complete distractors
by taking them from the other answers in the same quiz.

Participation

Play solo or with students.

Mode When to use it What appears in the game
Solo For individual review, projected practice, or quick use without a list of names. The question, options, timer if enabled, and the quiz can advance manually or automatically.
With students For turns, scoring, and classroom activities. A list of students is entered. The game shows the current turn as a popup and keeps score or race progress.

Rules

Settings the teacher can adjust.

Option What it does
Turn It can be manual or automatic. In automatic mode, after answering a question, the quiz moves to the next student or the next question depending on the mode.
Time It can be played without time or with a visible timer. The timer appears large and centered when the visual style allows it.
Number of options Allows you to use 2, 3, or 4 possible answers per question.
Order Decides whether the options are shuffled or kept in the same order.
Points per correct answer Adds points for each correct answer.
Penalty Subtracts points for mistakes if the teacher wants a more challenging activity.
Race steps In Race mode, defines how many steps a car needs to reach the finish line.

The Quiz includes several designs so the activity can look more formal or more fantastic, depending on the age of the group and the type of class.

Language mode

How to use the Quiz for translations.

Usage example Native language: Spanish. Practice language: English. The quiz may ask “How do you say manzana?” and show apple, banana, orange, and pear as options.
Native language It is the word or clue the student already knows.
Practice language It is the correct answer the student must find among the options.
Category and subcategory They allow practice by topic, for example food, animals, or classroom.
Quantity and order The teacher decides how many questions to load and whether to shuffle them or not.

During the game

What happens when the quiz is already in play.

Element What it does
Turn popup In student mode, it appears in the center to show whose turn it is to answer.
Timer Counts down if the teacher enabled time. It changes visually when little time remains.
Feedback The game indicates whether the answer is correct or incorrect and shows the correct one.
Scoreboard In solo mode, it shows points, correct answers, and mistakes. With students, it shows the ranking.
Race In Race mode, each student has a car and progress depends on correct answers.
Auto-advance If the turn is automatic, the quiz moves on by itself to the next question or the next student.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions before using it.

How many questions can I use?

In automatic and language modes, lists of up to 30 questions are used. For class, 10 or 20 is usually the most convenient.

Can I use it without students?

Yes. In solo mode, there is no need to enter names and the quiz can advance automatically.

Does the race work without students?

No. The race is designed for a list of students, because each participant needs their own car and progress.

Is the title always written manually?

No. In automatic and language modes, the game can automatically generate the title according to the category or vocabulary loaded.

Can it be used to practice languages?

Yes. The teacher chooses native language, practice language, category, and subcategory.

Can I change the visual style?

Yes. The Quiz includes several designs, from a classic style to more fantastic and colorful variants.
